Ivory Tower is located in Preston’s historic Corn Exchange, built in 1821. One of the oldest buildings in Preston.
The building, originally three times the size of what you see today, was a market hub for all your everyday needs, providing a bustling town centre meeting point for the preston people.
Witnessing key events such as the influential 1842 cotton workers’ protest. Honoured today through our sister venue, 1842 Restaurant & Bar.
Later transformed into the Public Hall, it hosted legendary acts like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin until closing in 1972.
Only the original front entrance remains, now Grade II listed, Steeped in nearly 200 years of history Ivory Tower continues this legacy of creativity and connection, breathing new life into a building rich with history and character.

We recommend a minimum of 65 guests for a seated three-course meal upto 140 maximum, or 120 guests for an evening event. For larger celebrations and parties, Ivory Tower can accommodate up to 400 guests offering plenty of room to dance, dine, and make unforgettable memories.
